Loose Cannons were invited to take part in the unveiling of a painting of the wreck of the Royal Charter in March 2009. The evening was held in Ysgol Gynradd y Moelfre. Loose Cannons were asked to perform some material to support the evening's entertainment of performances by Elin Fflur and a Welsh folk dancing group.
We performed 4 dramatic readings of the events leading up to and after the wreck of the Royal Charter, in 1859. Two characters, Captain Taylor and a 'common' man who was part of the civilians on board. A reading by the 'Rev. Stephen Roose Hughes' and then a reading by a 'Charles Dickens', who reported on the story.
